Day 01

Wayllabamba

CUSCO / WAYLLABAMBA

Our adventure begins early as we are picked up from our hotel between 4:00-4:30am. Our private transport takes us to Piskacuchu (2,700m/8,856ft), the starting point of the Inca Trail. We start our hike by crossing the Urubamba River and trekking along its left shore towards Miskay (2,800m/9,184ft). After ascending, we are rewarded with a stunning view of the Inca city of Llactapata. We then continue through the Kusichaca River valley, gradually climbing for five hours until we reach Wayllabamba (3,000m/9,840ft), where we set up camp. Along the way, we are treated to breathtaking views of the Vilcanota ridge and the majestic Veronica peak.

Day 02

Chaquicocha

WAYLLABAMBA - PACAYMAYO - CHAQUICOCHA

Your day begins with a hot cup of coca tea and a nutritious breakfast at 4:45 a.m. At 6:15 a.m., we will start the challenging trek towards Dead Woman's Pass, the highest point of the Inca Trail at 4,215 meters. The four-hour climb takes you through different microclimates, offering breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains. Upon reaching the summit, your porters will greet you with a hot glass of tea. Afterward, you will hike for an hour and a half downhill through Inca steps to reach the lunch spot. Following lunch, you will continue the trek for another four hours, exploring two Inca sites, Runku Raccay and Sayacmarka, until you arrive at Chaquicocha campsite.

Day 03

Wiñay Wayna

CHAQUICCOHA – PHUYUPATAMARCA – WIÑAY WAYNA

You'll start your day with a hot cup of tea, followed by breakfast, and then embark on a two-hour hike to the final pass of Phuyupatamarca (3,680 meters). This leg of the journey boasts spectacular views of the Vilcabamba and Salkantay mountain ranges. During the three-hour trek to our campsite, you'll explore two Inca sites: Phuyupatamarca (Village Above the Clouds) and Intipata (Terraces of the Sun). After lunch, take a five-minute walk to the stunning Wiñay Wayna (Forever Young) Inca site. Return to the campsite for happy hour, dinner, and a small ceremony to express gratitude to the amazing team of porters.

Day 04

Machu Picchu / Cusco

WIÑAY WAYNA – MACHU PICCHU – AGUAS CALIENTES – RETURN TO CUSCO

Machu Picchu / Cusco

On the final day, we wake up at 4:00 am to depart from Wiñaywayna and begin our ascent to Intipunku, the Sun Gate. From this breathtaking vantage point, we catch our first glimpse of the sacred citadel of Machu Picchu. Descending from Intipunku, we enter Machu Picchu through the 'House of the Guardians'. We then embark on a comprehensive guided tour of the Inca citadel. In the afternoon, we gather in the town of Aguas Calientes, where you can relax before taking the train back to the city of Cusco, arriving after nightfall.
